Step 1: Insert ceramic wool. Our wider ceramic wool can extend burn time. Notice: Do not add alcohol when there is an open flame or before cooling.

Step 2: Fill up to the MAX marking with 70%, 91% or Higher Isopropyl Alcohol or Rubbing Alcohol.

Step 3: Flame follows fuel. Spilled fuel should be cleaned with a dry paper towel or a rag before lighting. Use only an extended lighter or long match to ignite.

Step 4: Cover to extinguish. Do not attempt to blow out. If lit fuel spills, suffocate to extinguish or spray with a fire extinguisher.

What type of fuel should I use with the fire pit, and where can I find it?

monTEK's smokeless tabletop stoves use any alcohol at 70%, 91%, or 99% concentrations. You can find suitable fuel at various retailers. Please remember not to exceed the maximum water mark when adding fuel.

Will the bottom of the fire pit get hot enough to damage the table it sits on?

No, the anti-scratch pad and our use of heat-resistant concrete ensure your table stays safeguarded.
