However, other types of ethanol or rubbing alcohol can also be used. Clean any spilled fuel before lighting. If the flame does not ignite, repeat the process until it burns steadily. Allow 15 minutes for the flame to reach its optimal temperature and height. Use the snuffer provided to extinguish the fire.

Attention Never blow out the flame, as this will only increase it. Do not extinguish the flame with water. Avoid filling a burning or hot burner, and never leave an open flame unattended.
